Thank you for using NTFS4DOS Private!

Why did we build NTFS4DOS?
**************************
Today a lot of circumstances require having access to NTFS from a single
bootable floppy / CD-ROM / USB-Stick like we know it from the old days of
Windows 9x. Whether it is an offline AV scan/repair, a image task or the repair of a damaged
system when NTFS is used the access from a bootable floppy wasn't possible.

Is it secure to use NTFS4DOS?
*****************************
Yes, it is secure to use NTFS4DOS. NTFS4DOS has been heavily tested on a lot of
computers from NT4 to Server 2003, using any cluster-size, compressed volumes
and a lot of other rare configurations. Anyway there is always a little
remaining risk. Because of this follow the rule number of data security:
BACKUP YOUR DATA.

Can NTFS4DOS reset lost passwords or modify the registry?
********************************************************
No, it can't. For this we offer our CIA Commander 2.0
This tool should be in the tool box of every administrator.
You can give it a try at http://www.datapol.de/ciacmd/getdemoe.php.

How can I build a network bootable floppy with NTFS4DOS?
********************************************************
There are a lot of good network boot disks out there.
Personally we recommend the one from Brad Driver. If you build his disk
copy NTFS4DOS.exe and LICENSE.DAT on it and you have all you need.
A more elegant way is our CIA DRiVE.net. Using this you can mount any disk over
TCP/IP to another Windows box and perform any operation under Windows.
You can download a demo version from our homepage http://www.datapol.de.

On NTFS4DOS we added a remark, that the question about the private usage must
be answered with a full written "Yes". Some people seemed to have problems to
understand the question. Also the defrag-tool was enhanced. It now gives an
overview at the end about the operation.
