Luke 10

  1. After these things the LORD appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
  2. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
  3. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
  4. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.
  5. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
  6. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.
  7. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
  8. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
  9. And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
  10. But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,
  11. Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
  12. But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
  13. Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
  14. But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.
  15. And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.
  16. He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
  17. And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
  18. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
  19. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
  20. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
  21. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Luke 11

  1. And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
  2. But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils.
  3. And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
  4. But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
  5. Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
  6. And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.
  7.  But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.
  1. He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. 24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
  2. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
  3. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
  4. And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
  5. But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
  6. And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
  7.  30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
  1. The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

Luke 14

  1. And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
  2. If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
  3. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
  4. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
  5. Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
  6. Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
  7. Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
  8. Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
  9. So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
  10. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
  11. It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Luke 15

  1. Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
  2. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
  3. And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
  4. What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
  5. And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
  6. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
  7. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
  8. Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
  9. And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
  10. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Luke 17

  1. Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
  2. It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
  3. Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
  4. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
  1. And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
  2. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
  3. And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
  4. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
  5. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
  6. And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
  7. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
  8. There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
  9. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Luke 19

  1. And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
  2. And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
  3. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
  4. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
  5. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
  6. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
  7. And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
  8. And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
  9. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
  10. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Matthew 20

  1. And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,
  2. Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
  3. And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
  4. Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
  5. And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
  6. But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
  7. And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
  8. And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.
  9. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
  10. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
  11. And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
  12. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Mark 11

  1. And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
  2. And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
  3. And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
  1. And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
  2. And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
  3. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
  4. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
  5. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
  6. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
  7. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 21

  1. And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
  2. Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.
  3. And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.
  4. All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
  5. Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
  6. And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
  7. And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
  8. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
  9. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

Luke 19

  1. And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
  2. Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
  3. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
  4. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
  5. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
  6. Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
  7. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
  8. And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
  9. And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
  10. Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
  11. And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
  12. And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

John 12

  1. And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
  2. The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
  3. Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
  4. And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
  5. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
  6. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
  7. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
  8. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
  9. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
  10. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
  11. Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
  12. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
  13. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
  14. This he said, signifying what death he should die.
  15. The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
  16. Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
  17. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light
  1. Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
  2. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
  3. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
  4. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
  5. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
  6. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
  7. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Luke 20

  1. And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,
  2. And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?
  3. And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:
  4. The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
  5. And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?
  6. But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.
  7. And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.
  8. And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
  1. And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:
  2. Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
  3. But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
  4. Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.
  5. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.
  6. And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

Mark 12

  1. And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
  2. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
  3. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
  4. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
  5. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
  6. And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
  7. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Matthew 24

  1. And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
  2. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
  3. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
  4. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
  5. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
  6. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
  7. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
  8. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
  9. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
  10. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
  11. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
  12. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold
  13. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
  14. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
  15. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
  16. Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
  1. But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
  2. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
  3. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
  4. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
  5. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
  6. Behold, I have told you before.
  7. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
  8. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
  9. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
  10. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
  11. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
  12. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
  13. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
  14. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
  15. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
  16. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
  17. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
  18. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
  19. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
  20. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
  21. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
  22. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
  23. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Matthew 25

  1. When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
  2. And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
  3. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
  4. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
  5. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
  6. Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
  7. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
  8. When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
  9. Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
  10. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
  11. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
  12. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
  13. I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
  14. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
  15. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
  16. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matthew 26

  1. And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,
  2. Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
  3. Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
  4. And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.
  5. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
  6. Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
  7. There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
  8. But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
  9. For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
  10. When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
  11. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
  12. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.
  13. Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
  14. Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
  15. And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
  16. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
